In evaluating many commercial sites that have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars and sometimes millions into the visual presentation of their site, we find that the most basic sales messages are missing or overlooked.

Pre-Design Tips

Rule number one is never let the web designers loose without fully involving the sales and marketing department in the site layout, flow path, call to action, key words, unique selling proposition (USP), and how the entire site will integrate with existing and planned marketing programs.

360Webmarketing has developed a complete flow chart for Web site design and implementation. While we are not technical programmers or graphic designers for others we can assist you with many of the tools necessary to enhance your site and increase it's profitability.

Our suggestion is as always to involve the marketing department from the beginning. By our estimation, there are at least 53 steps that require marketing and technical to coordinate in order to have a really functional site.

Case Study

An existing company, enamored with flash and frames paid over $400,000 for a complete redesign of its site. No optimization methods, key word density, naming conventions, user flow analysis or layout specifications were discussed with the programmers. The site bombed.

Results

A 28 page report with page by page analysis and suggestions was prepared and implemented. Some of the suggestions included:

  • Increasing key word density

  • Adding keyword named ALT tags

  • Add live links to the bottom of framed pages

  • Make page titles key word rich

  • Add keyword rich comment tags

  • and many more.......

The revised new site loaded faster, got more and better user response and much higher search engine rankings.
